The Local Government and Housing national survey has now closed. Thank you to those who participated. Given that Australia has 537 councils, the 252 responses received was an extremely pleasing outcome. In fact it exceeded the team’s expectations. While a small percentage of those responses may be incomplete, it will still become a significant database for future reference. Responses came from all over Australia and all but two of our state capitals participated. Econometrician Dr Laurence Lester will be cleaning and analysing the data in coming weeks. The next project meeting will be hosted by Moonee Valley City Council on Monday 30 April and Tuesday 1 May. This will be for all investigators and partner organisations and should be very interesting as our national survey data will be released and discussed. It is expected that the data will be available on the project website around late May.
