The Railway Lands project located in Mount Gambier, South Australia, and developed by the City of Mount Gambier has won the “From Plan to Place” category at the Planning Institute of Australia awards. Project PhD student Jessica Porter was instrumental in the development and preparation of the submission and our warmest congratulations go to her and to the City of Mount Gambier. The award, presented at the PIA national conference in Perth on 9 May 2018, is recognition for the transformation of an area that was in need of major remediation work into an amazing public space. Well done to all involved!
